Authorizing Church Delegates to the PSWC Annual Meeting

Dear Church Chairperson,

Celebration 2026, the annual gathering of Pacific Southwest Conference churches, will be hosted by Midtown Covenant Church, Sacramento, April 23 - 25, 2026.

The “Church Gathering” will be Friday 5 pm – Saturday 12 pm. This include Friday dinner, evening worship and Saturday programming. On Saturday at 8 am, one Pre-Session will be offered for lay leaders. The 123rd PSWC Annual Meeting will follow at 9 am on Saturday.

The Annual Meeting is the highest constituted authority for the conference, its member churches and its institutions. Decisions made at this gathering, including this year’s Superintendent election, give direction and momentum to our common ministry. I encourage you to select delegates who will participate in this important time as an expression of our partnership in the gospel. You are also encouraged to pay the expenses of your participating delegates. Others are welcome to participate as general conferees.

The conference constitution states this: Member congregations shall be entitled to representation as following:

•   congregations up to 99 members, two delegates;

•   congregations with 100 to 224 members, three delegates;

•   congregations with 225 to 449 members, four delegates;

•   congregations with 450 to 699 members, five delegates;

•   congregations with 700 to 999 members, six delegates; plus one delegate for each additional 400 members beyond 1000 

Please note that the above numbers are based on official membership rosters, not attendance as of January 1, 2026.

After selecting delegates:

(1) Please ask delegates to register for Celebration and arrange their travel and lodging.

(2) Please complete this form below to authorize delegates. All names of delegates representing your congregation must be listed. Our Conference staff hopes to receive forms by March 9, but are glad to receive them later if helpful.

Please note - Ordained and licensed pastors are not automatic delegates and are to be listed if serving as delegates from a church.  By virtue of their pastoral credentials, these same ministers may participate as Advisory Delegates, if in good standing with the Ministerial Association.  Questions on good standing may be directed to melody.johnson@pswc.org.
